What we collect, why, and your rights under India's DPDP Act 2023 — in plain language.

This policy explains, in plain language, what data indiaolympiad.com collects and how it is handled under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

Who we are

indiaolympiad.com is published by Unlock IQ Institute Pvt. Ltd. (the "publisher"), which acts as the data fiduciary for personal data collected on this site.

What we collect — and what we deliberately don't

  • Reminder sign-ups: your email address and a class range or role. Nothing else.
  • School planner requests: a school email address.
  • No children's data: this site addresses adults — parents, guardians and educators. We do not knowingly collect any personal data from children, and no form on this site asks for a child's name, school or details.
  • No tracking for sale: we do not sell personal data, and we do not run third-party advertising trackers.

Why we collect it (purpose limitation)

Solely to send the reminders or planner you asked for. Consent is explicit (an unticked checkbox you must tick), and each purpose is stated at the point of collection.

Your rights under the DPDP Act

  • Withdraw consent at any time — every email carries a one-click unsubscribe.
  • Request access to, correction of, or erasure of your personal data.
  • Raise a grievance with our grievance officer (see the contact page); if unresolved, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.

Storage and retention

Data is stored on secure infrastructure and retained only while you remain subscribed or as required by law; on unsubscription or erasure request it is deleted from active systems within 30 days.

Effective: July 2026. Material changes will be posted on this page.
