For schools & institutes

The year's competition slate, in one sitting.

Term-by-term windows, honest coordination-load notes, and a printable planner for the staff room.

The academic year has natural competition slots. Here is the 2026–27 season arranged the way a school coordinator actually plans it — term by term, with the coordination load stated honestly.

Term 1 · August – October 2026

Early season
NMTC (Aug–Oct) and IOQM (Sep) serve your strongest senior maths students — small cohorts, centre-based, low school load. SEAMO (Sep) suits schools wanting an international-format entry. SOF IGKO / IEO windows open from October. Coordination load: light, mostly nominations and notices.

Term 2 · November – January

Peak season
The crowded quarter: SOF NSO / IMO, SilverZone iOM, NSTSE, ASSET all land here — each needs invigilation slots, answer-sheet handling and result distribution. This is also the window for an in-school, self-scheduled olympiad (UNITE, Nov–Jan) — the school picks its own date around its exam calendar rather than fitting the organiser's. Coordination load: heavy; plan invigilation rosters in October.

Term 3 · February – March 2027

Board window
Boards and finals dominate; most organisers avoid this window. Use it to collect parent consent forms and plan the April season. Coordination load: nil by design.

Summer season · April – May 2027

Online window
REAL Olympiad (18 Apr), AMO Level-1 (24–25 Apr) and Ramanujan Maths Quiz (1–7 May) run online and proctored with flexible windows — students attempt from home, so the school's load is registration coordination only. A clean way to end the year with participation certificates that arrive before results day.
