INAO — Indian National Astronomy Olympiad

HBCSE · Classes 8–12 · 2026–27 window: Late Jan / early Feb 2027 (expected)

Stage two in Astronomy — physics-and-maths-heavy, leading to the IOAA pathway.

The 2025-26 INAO ran on 31 January morning. Younger students can reach INAO via NSEJS as well as NSEA. Expect the 2026-27 date around the same window.

Who is it for?

Students of Classes 8–12. Subject focus: Astronomy. As with any olympiad, the best candidates are children who voluntarily enjoy the subject — an olympiad should stretch curiosity, not manufacture pressure.
