NSEA — National Standard Examination in Astronomy

IAPT · Classes 11–12 · 2026–27 window: Nov 2026 · reg opens 1 Aug 2026

First stage of the Astronomy Olympiad pathway — physics and mathematics with elementary astronomy.

NSEA leans heavily on Class 11–12 physics and maths, plus night-sky basics. Qualifiers proceed to INAO; the pathway ends at the International Olympiad on Astronomy & Astrophysics.

Who is it for?

Students of Classes 11–12. Subject focus: Astronomy. As with any olympiad, the best candidates are children who voluntarily enjoy the subject — an olympiad should stretch curiosity, not manufacture pressure.
