NSEP — National Standard Examination in Physics

IAPT · Classes 11–12 · 2026–27 window: Nov 2026 · reg opens 1 Aug 2026

The first stage of India's Physics Olympiad pathway, leading to INPhO and the International Physics Olympiad.

Syllabus is broadly CBSE Class 11–12 physics but with sharper, application-first problems. State-wise toppers qualify for INPhO in early 2027. Registration is via schools/centres from August 2026.

Who is it for?

Students of Classes 11–12. Subject focus: Physics. As with any olympiad, the best candidates are children who voluntarily enjoy the subject — an olympiad should stretch curiosity, not manufacture pressure.
